nRF Logger application provides a platform for developers to access log sessions generated by other applications through the API available on GitHub. This tool is leveraged by both nRF Connect and nRF Toolbox developed by Nordic Semiconductor to record connection events.
By employing nRF Logger, developers can troubleshoot their applications without the need for a direct computer connection. Additionally, customers have the capability to share log sessions, enabling them to acquire detailed insights.
This application supports six log levels:
- DEBUG
- VERBOSE
- INFO
- APPLICATION
- WARNING
- ERROR
Users have the option to assign flags or descriptions to log sessions for easy retrieval in the future.
Requirements:
The application is not compatible with nRF Connect version 1.0; version 1.1 or later is necessary for proper functionality.
Public API:
The public nRF Logger API has been made available on GitHub at https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/nRF-Logger-API, facilitating the creation of log sessions from third-party applications. Those interested can refer to the GitHub repository for additional information and examples.
